The IPstack MCP Server brings IPstack's IP geolocation and intelligence data to any MCP-compatible AI assistant, such as Claude and ChatGPT. IPstack is a widely used IP-to-location service covering IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, returning country, region, city, coordinates, timezone, and — depending on your plan — connection, network, and security details.
Instead of leaving the conversation to call an API by hand, users can ask their assistant a question in plain language and get a structured IPstack result back. The server is a hosted gateway to the existing IPstack API: it connects with your own IPstack account, and the underlying lookup data is the same as IPstack's direct API. It exposes three tools — single-address lookup, requester lookup, and bulk lookup — each mapping to an IPstack endpoint.
