Bakes OpenType features and variable-font axes permanently into a font file, so they render everywhere — including design tools, email clients, and older software that ignores CSS font-feature-settings.

Instead of hoping the renderer honours your feature settings, you get a new font file where small caps, tabular numbers, slashed zeroes, or a pinned weight are simply the default.

Tools

  • freeze_font — bakes the features you name into the font's cmap and returns the result. Takes font_name, features (e.g. tnum,ss01), optional axes (e.g. wght=400,wdth=75), format (woff2, woff, ttf, otf), and style (normal or italic).
  • analyze_font — lists a font's OpenType features, variable axes, and named instances before you commit to anything.
  • search_google_fonts — finds families by name, with category, weights, and whether they are variable.
  • convert_font — converts between TTF, OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 without changing features.

How you get the file

Connected to this hosted server, freeze_font and convert_font upload the result and return a download link valid for 7 days — the server has no access to your filesystem. Your agent fetches the link and saves the font into your project.

Privacy

No account, no API key, no sign-up. Fonts are fetched from Google Fonts by the server, so you are not uploading your own files. Generated fonts are kept in private storage reachable only through the expiring link you are given. No personal data is collected.

Как подключить FontFreezer к Claude

Адрес сервера, который нужно вставить в настройках Claude:

  1. Откройте Claude (сайт claude.ai или приложение для компьютера).
  2. Перейдите в Настройки → Коннекторы (в английском интерфейсе: Settings → Connectors).
  3. Нажмите Добавить пользовательский коннектор (Add custom connector).
  4. Вставьте адрес сервера, скопированный ниже, в поле URL удалённого MCP-сервера и нажмите Добавить.
  5. В чате нажмите + → Коннекторы и включите новый коннектор.

Пользовательские коннекторы доступны на тарифах Free, Pro, Max, Team и Enterprise. На Free можно добавить только один. В Team и Enterprise коннектор сначала добавляет владелец организации в Настройки организации → Коннекторы.

Авторизация

После нажатия Добавить откроется окно входа в сервис. Войдите под своим аккаунтом и подтвердите доступ. Пароль Claude не видит.

Как подключить FontFreezer к ChatGPT

Адрес сервера, который нужно вставить в настройках ChatGPT:

  1. Откройте ChatGPT в браузере (chatgpt.com). Нужен тариф Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise или Edu.
  2. Один раз включите режим разработчика: Настройки → Приложения → Дополнительные настройки → Режим разработчика (Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode).
  3. Откройте Настройки → Коннекторы и нажмите Создать (Create).
  4. Заполните форму: Название (любое), Описание (одна фраза, что делает сервис), URL MCP-сервера (скопируйте ниже).
  5. В поле Аутентификация выберите OAuth, если сервис требует вход, иначе Нет. Нажмите Создать.
  6. В новом чате откройте + → Приложения/Коннекторы и включите коннектор.

Название раздела у OpenAI менялось (Connectors → Apps/Plugins). Если пункт называется иначе, ищите «режим разработчика» в настройках. В рабочих пространствах Business/Enterprise администратор должен разрешить пользовательские коннекторы.

Авторизация

При первом использовании ChatGPT откроет окно входа в сервис. Войдите и подтвердите доступ.

Как подключить FontFreezer к Cursor

Адрес сервера, который нужно вставить в настройках Cursor:

Быстрый способ: нажмите кнопку Открыть в Cursor ниже, Cursor сам предложит добавить сервер.

Вручную:

  1. В Cursor откройте Settings → Cursor Settings → MCP и нажмите Add new global MCP server.
  2. Вставьте JSON, скопированный ниже, в открывшийся файл ~/.cursor/mcp.json (для одного проекта: .cursor/mcp.json в корне проекта).
  3. Сохраните файл. Сервер появится в списке MCP; при необходимости пройдите авторизацию по кнопке рядом с ним.

freeze_font Freeze OpenType features into a font's character map and return the result. This downloads a Google Font, "freezes" the specified OpenType features directly into the font's cmap (so they work everywhere, even in apps that don't support CSS font-feature-settings) and converts to the requested format. Running locally, the font is written into your project and the absolute path is returned. Connected to the hosted server, it is uploaded and a time-limited download URL is returned instead, since the server cannot write to your machine. Args: font_name: Google Font family name, e.g. "Inter", "Roboto", "Fira Code" features: Comma-separated OpenType feature tags to freeze, e.g. "tnum,ss01" or "smcp,onum,zero" axes: Optional comma-separated axis pinning, e.g. "wght=400,wdth=75". Use this to freeze a specific weight/width from a variable font. format: Output format — "woff2" (default, smallest), "woff", "ttf", or "otf" style: Font style — "normal" (default) or "italic" Returns: Dict with filename, size_bytes, format, the frozen features, and CSS instructions. Locally it also carries absolute_path; on the hosted server it carries download_url instead.
analyze_font Analyze a Google Font and return detailed metadata. Returns family name, available OpenType features (with descriptions and categories), variable axes (if any), named instances, version, copyright, and license info. Args: font_name: Google Font family name, e.g. "Inter", "Roboto Flex" style: 'normal' (default) or 'italic' Returns: Dict with full font metadata including features, axes, and instances.
search_google_fonts Search available Google Fonts. Returns a list of matching font families with their category, available weights, styles, and whether they are variable fonts. Results are capped at 50 entries. Args: query: Optional search string to filter fonts by name, e.g. "inter", "roboto", "mono". Leave empty to get popular fonts. Returns: Dict with a list of matching fonts.
convert_font Download a Google Font and convert it to a specific format without freezing. Useful when you just need a format conversion (e.g. TTF → WOFF2) without modifying any features. Args: font_name: Google Font family name, e.g. "Inter" format: Target format — "woff2" (default), "woff", or "ttf" style: 'normal' (default) or 'italic' Returns: Dict with filename, absolute path where saved, and size.
