datamcp is a hosted Model Context Protocol gateway for PostgreSQL 12+, MySQL, OpenAPI 3.x/Swagger, and Agent Memory. Create scoped remote MCP links for Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, VS Code, and other compatible clients. Keep source credentials server-side, restrict database operations or API methods per link, and use structured shared project memory with full-text search, compact handoffs, scoped writes, and reviewed canonical Rules and Project Summary updates. MCP clients authenticate with an API key or OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Free tier available; no self-hosting.

get_table_details	Get detailed information about a specific table including columns, types, constraints, and relationships.
get_schema_changes	Get the history of schema changes - what changed, when, and diffs.
resync_schema	Re-extract the database schema from the live database. Use this when the schema has changed (new tables, columns, etc.) and the cached version is outdated.
list_pending_descriptions	List tables and columns whose descriptions were auto-generated during the last resync and still need human review. Useful for AI tools to proactively offer improvements based on codebase context (models, migrations, etc.).
update_schema_description	Update the DataMCP description for a table or a column. The description is stored in DataMCP metadata (not written to the database) and is served to AI clients via get_schema. Use this to improve AI understanding of your schema based on code context like models or migrations.
