    How to connect okun-koneosa to Claude

    The server address to paste into Claude settings:

    1. Open Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app).
    2. Go to Settings → Connectors.
    3. Click Add custom connector.
    4. Paste the server address copied below into Remote MCP server URL and click Add.
    5. In a chat, click + → Connectors and switch the new connector on.

    Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans (Free is limited to one). On Team and Enterprise an organization Owner adds the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors.

    Authorization

    After you click Add, a sign-in window for the service opens. Sign in with your own account and approve access. Claude never sees your password.

    How to connect okun-koneosa to ChatGPT

    The server address to paste into ChatGPT settings:

    1. Open ChatGPT in a browser (chatgpt.com). A Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan is required.
    2. Turn on developer mode once: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode.
    3. Open Settings → Connectors and click Create.
    4. Fill in the form: Name (anything), Description (one line about what the service does), MCP server URL (copy it below).
    5. Under Authentication choose OAuth if the service requires sign-in, otherwise None. Click Create.
    6. In a new chat open + → Apps/Connectors and enable the connector.

    OpenAI has renamed this section before (Connectors → Apps/Plugins). If the label differs, search settings for "developer mode". On Business/Enterprise workspaces an admin must allow custom connectors first.

    Authorization

    On first use ChatGPT opens the service's sign-in window. Sign in and approve access.

    Manually:

    1. In Cursor open Settings → Cursor Settings → MCP and click Add new global MCP server.
    2. Paste the JSON copied below into ~/.cursor/mcp.json (per project: .cursor/mcp.json in the repo root).
    3. Save the file. The server appears in the MCP list; authorize it there if asked.

    search_catalogSearch the Okun Koneosa product catalog. Okun Koneosa Oy (okunkoneosa.fi) is a Finnish industrial supplies store in Outokumpu, North Karelia. Around 6500 products: bearings, belts, seals, hydraulics, pneumatics, fasteners, hand tools, protective equipment and machine parts. Everything listed is physically in stock. Prices in EUR, including Finnish VAT 25.5%. Free shipping on orders over 150 EUR. Args: query: Free-text search — matches product name, ordering number (SKU) or EAN code. Leave empty to browse a category. category_id: Restrict to one category. Returns: JSON with the full product record: id, name, name_raw, sku, ean, brand, category, full description (not truncated), price_gross, price_net, vat_percent, currency, unit, weight_kg, product_url, image_url, plus a freshly checked in_stock / stock_quantity. Notes: - Stock is read at call time from a separate availability endpoint, so it is more current than the value returned by search_catalog. - Returns {"error": "product_not_found"} for unknown or unpublished ids. Products that are out of stock are unpublished, so a previously valid id can stop resolving. - To let the user buy, pass product_url, or build a cart link with create_cart_link.
    create_cart_linkBuild a link that puts the given products into the customer's cart. This tool writes nothing. It returns a URL; the products are added only when the customer opens that URL in their own browser. Give the URL to the customer and let them click it. Args: items: 1-20 rows of {"product_id": int >= 1, "quantity": int 1-50}. Unknown fields are rejected. Repeated product_ids are merged into one row and their quantities summed. checkout: If True, opening the link takes the customer straight to checkout; if False (default) it opens the cart review page. Returns: JSON with cart_url, the normalised items, item_count, total_quantity, the echoed checkout flag and a short note to show the customer. Errors (isError=true, body {"error": {...}}): - products_not_found: one or more product_ids do not exist or are not published. The message lists the offending ids. - shop_api_unavailable: the shop could not be reached; retryable. Notes: - The link SETS the quantities, it does not add to what is already in the cart. Opening the same link twice gives the same result as opening it once, so the customer can safely click it again. - Stock is re-checked when the link is opened. If stock ran out in the meantime, the quantity is reduced or the row skipped — the link can never oversell. - Checkout requires a customer account, so the customer may be asked to log in or register before paying.
