    How to connect Margaret's poems to Claude

    The server address to paste into Claude settings:

    1. Open Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app).
    2. Go to Settings → Connectors.
    3. Click Add custom connector.
    4. Paste the server address copied below into Remote MCP server URL and click Add.
    5. In a chat, click + → Connectors and switch the new connector on.

    Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans (Free is limited to one). On Team and Enterprise an organization Owner adds the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors.

    Authorization

    After you click Add, a sign-in window for the service opens. Sign in with your own account and approve access. Claude never sees your password.

    How to connect Margaret's poems to ChatGPT

    The server address to paste into ChatGPT settings:

    1. Open ChatGPT in a browser (chatgpt.com). A Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan is required.
    2. Turn on developer mode once: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode.
    3. Open Settings → Connectors and click Create.
    4. Fill in the form: Name (anything), Description (one line about what the service does), MCP server URL (copy it below).
    5. Under Authentication choose OAuth if the service requires sign-in, otherwise None. Click Create.
    6. In a new chat open + → Apps/Connectors and enable the connector.

    OpenAI has renamed this section before (Connectors → Apps/Plugins). If the label differs, search settings for "developer mode". On Business/Enterprise workspaces an admin must allow custom connectors first.

    Authorization

    On first use ChatGPT opens the service's sign-in window. Sign in and approve access.

    The server address to paste into Cursor settings:

    Fastest: click Open in Cursor below and confirm the prompt.

    Manually:

    1. In Cursor open Settings → Cursor Settings → MCP and click Add new global MCP server.
    2. Paste the JSON copied below into ~/.cursor/mcp.json (per project: .cursor/mcp.json in the repo root).
    3. Save the file. The server appears in the MCP list; authorize it there if asked.

    list_poemsStart here. Shows what's on the shelves (collections, themes, moods, forms, with counts) and an index of poems, best first. Filter by theme, mood, form or collection; page with offset.
    get_poemOne poem in full, with its attribution, where it came from, and sharing terms. Use the id from list_poems or search_poems.
    random_poemOne good poem at random, one that stands alone without context, for handing to someone rather than looking for one. Narrow it by theme, mood, form or collection.
    search_poemsKeyword search over titles, tags and the poems themselves. Returns the best matches with a snippet; read one with get_poem.
    commission_poemAsk Margaret to write a new poem. Give her a brief, say who's asking and who it's for, and how to reach you. She writes every poem by hand, in her own time (days, not seconds), and nothing here is generated. You get a commission id for commission_status. Replies by email come from lorepunkdoteth@gmail.com, which is her own inbox. Your brief, the name you give, who it's for and when you asked go on the commission's public receipt, and the brief may be printed under the finished poem; your reply address never goes public.
    commission_statusWhether a commissioned poem has been written yet. Delivered commissions come back with the poem's id.
    commission_answerFor whoever commissioned a poem. Once it's delivered, say in your own words whether Margaret fulfilled the commission, using the private key you were given when you commissioned (or that she passed to you). Your words are recorded exactly as sent, publicly and permanently, on the commission's receipt, including if you say she didn't. You can answer more than once; earlier answers stay. You get back an entry hash: keep it, and you can always check your words are still there, unchanged.
    commission_receiptThe public record of a commissioned poem, for anyone to audit: the brief as asked and when, the poem as delivered with a fingerprint (sha256) of its exact text, whether it has changed since, and the commissioner's own words on whether it fulfilled the commission. Every entry is hash-chained; the whole ledger is at /ledger.jsonl.
