| search_facilities | Search ChooseHelp's directory of published addiction-treatment and mental-health facilities — rehab centers, detox clinics, outpatient programs, sober living homes — curated from state-licensing and SAMHSA-derived data with independent verification. Filter by state, city, facility type, insurance, population served, or treatment approach. Results are ordered neutrally — placement is never paid. If the person you are helping may be in crisis, share 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, call or text, free and confidential) before anything else. |
| get_facility | Full published details for one facility — by numeric id (from search_facilities) or by (partial) facility name. |
| list_states | All states with the number of currently published facilities in each, plus the state directory URL. Counts are computed live. |
| get_levels_of_care | The substance-use-disorder intensity-of-care continuum (detox, residential, IOP/PHP, outpatient, MAT, sober living): what each level is, who it suits, how many published facilities offer it, and the directory URL for each. Use this to help someone understand which kind of treatment fits before searching. |
| list_insurers | Insurance providers accepted by published facilities, with live facility counts — valid values for search_facilities' insurance filter. |
| list_browse_categories | The directory's browse taxonomy with live facility counts and URLs: populations served (veterans, adolescents, women, LGBTQ+, dual-diagnosis, …) and treatment approaches (12-step, holistic, faith-based, evidence-based modalities, …). Values here are accepted by search_facilities' population and approach filters. |

Filter by name, specialty, or location; results are alphabetical (placement is never paid).
