geocode_city Retrieve the latitude and longitude for a given city name. Use this to look up coordinates if the user only provides a city name.
get_solar_return Calculate a solar return chart — the moment the Sun returns to its natal position. Essential for annual birthday forecasts and year-ahead readings.
get_lunar_return Calculate a lunar return chart — the moment the Moon returns to its natal position. Used for monthly forecasts and emotional cycle tracking.
get_compatibility Calculate detailed compatibility scoring (0-100) between two people. Returns overall score plus romantic, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual subscores.
get_navamsa Calculate the Vedic Navamsa (D9) divisional chart. Reveals soul-level strengths, relationship potential, and vargottama status.
get_panchang Calculate complete Vedic Panchang elements: Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, and Karana. Essential for muhurta (auspicious timing) and daily Vedic guidance.
get_moon_phase Get the current moon phase (or for a specific date): name, illumination %, age, and the next 4 upcoming lunar phase events (new moons, full moons, quarters).
get_numerology Calculate core numerology: Life Path number, Personal Year, and (if name provided) Expression and Soul Urge numbers. Master numbers 11/22/33 are preserved (not reduced).
get_composite_chart Calculate a midpoint composite chart — the relationship as a third entity. Each planet is the midpoint of its positions in both charts.
get_progressions Calculate secondary progressions (1 day = 1 year of life). Reveals evolving identity, emotional needs, and life direction.
get_planetary_return Calculate a planetary return chart for any planet (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, etc.). The moment the planet returns to its natal position, beginning a new cycle.
get_varga Calculate a Vedic divisional chart (Varga). D2=Hora (wealth), D3=Drekkana (siblings), D7=Saptamsa (children), D9=Navamsa (marriage), D10=Dasamsa (career), D12=Dwadashamsa (parents). Supports D2 through D60.
get_planetary_hours Calculate Chaldean planetary hours for a given day and location. Each hour is ruled by a planet in sequence — useful for electional timing.
get_transit_aspects Get detailed transit-to-natal aspects with impact ratings (high/moderate/low). Shows which transiting planets are affecting which natal planets and how strongly. Defaults to today's transits.
